We choose guide topics around practical decisions: whether an item fits, what a package contains, which devices it supports and what the complete order costs. Our guides are editorial checklists, not lab tests or rankings. Where a guide uses specialist public guidance, it links to the source and identifies the market it covers.
Listings depend on approved sources
The catalogue uses approved merchant feeds. Information supplied by a merchant is not the same as independent testing. We aim to show the merchant, exact variant, currency, stock status and update time with each offer. Missing details should be marked as unavailable rather than filled with assumptions. Offers become unavailable when their freshness window expires.
Compare like with like
A useful comparison matches the model, condition, size, colour, quantity and included accessories. Similar names alone do not prove that two offers are equivalent. Prices remain in the supplied currency. Delivery, taxes, conversion charges and eligibility for discounts may change the total, so shoppers must confirm the final details with the merchant.
Commercial relationships stay visible
An affiliate commission is a commercial relationship, not evidence that a product is suitable. Sift does not currently publish best-product rankings or paid placements. If sponsored placements are introduced, they will be labelled separately. A product appearing in a category does not mean Sift has tested, certified or endorsed it.
Corrections and limits
Prices, specifications and merchant policies can change. If an error is found, the information needs to be checked against the relevant source and corrected or removed as appropriate. Our contact page explains how to report a page issue once the public contact channel is active. Order, delivery and return problems belong with the merchant handling the purchase.
