Identify the exact version
Start with the full product name, formula version, shade code and package size. Products from the same range may have very similar names and packaging. Use the manufacturer description and a readable label rather than relying on a lifestyle image. A screen is not a reliable promise of how a shade will look in person; check the retailer’s shade information and return conditions before ordering.
Compare equal quantities
Divide price by the stated quantity when comparing equivalent products in the same units. For example, a fictional 50 ml bottle at 15 costs 0.30 per ml; a 100 ml bottle at 24 costs 0.24 per ml. The larger bottle has a lower unit price, but only makes sense if its quantity suits your use. Include delivery and check whether a bundle contains full-size products or samples.
Read the ingredient list and directions
Review the current label, ingredient list, warnings and intended use. Look for a clearly identified seller and an exact description of the condition and packaging. Check whether an item is a refill that needs a separately purchased container. Read returns before opening
Check the merchant policy for unopened and opened cosmetics, including any hygiene-related exclusions. Confirm the delivered shade, quantity and product version before opening the packaging.
